Dayara Bugiyal is an excellent choice for beginners and an absolute delight for the naturalists. Fresh green grass on summer and vast snow covered meadows in winter, Dayara Bugiyal Trek enchants you with magnificent mountain peaks and vast scenic beauty all around the year.
The journey starts from Haridwar and the trek starts from Raithal village in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand.
The mighty Bandarpooch and Gangotri region peaks are clearly visible from the meadows. The temperature during winter in daytime would vary from 5-15 degree Celsius wherein in night it may drop to minus 5 also.
You will be picked up from Haridwar Railway Station at morning 7 am. Distance to Raithal is approx 230 kms which takes 9-10 hours of drive. We will be passing by Uttarkashi town and driving by Bhagirathi river. From Uttarkashi it is a short distance of 40 kms till Raithal. As soon as enter the village you will be feeling great seeing the Mountain peak up so close especially Srikanth Peak.

Today’s first day of trek is surrounded by silver and golden oak forest. The trail is wellmarked and the Gui always remains at sight. The hike is easy and a gradual ascend. The campsite is surrounded by alpine trees and there are some shepherd’s huts here and there. There is also a small alpine lake nearby named Barnala Tal.

Today is a very easy day as we hike very short distance without gaining much altitude. The trails shows you the majestic Gangotri I, II & III peaks and Bandarpooch massif from a close proximity. You can have a relaxed and enchanting day to day soaked in the mother nature.

Today is our summit day and the most exciting day. We will start early in the morning from Chilapada towards Dayara Top. Its an easy to moderate trail with a short steep hike before the summit. After few steps in forest, the trail opens up to vast meadows witness the Great Himalayan massif. Dayara top is a heavenly experience to witness the Dodital range and Gidara Bugiyal. After spending some onderful moments in the snow, we would descend down to Nayata campsite which is surrounded by Rhododendron and Maple trees.

Today is all about descending down and is fairly easy. With the fond memories of the trek you reach Raithal to spend the rest of the day.

With a mind full of memories we bid goodbye to Raithal and head towards our destination of Rishikesh / Haridwar. You will reach by 6 pm. You can book your onward journey after 7 pm.
*Haridwar to Raithal and Raithal to Haridwar transportation in a shared Bolero/Sumo or similar kind of vehicle
* Guest House stay at Raithal on sharing basis (3/4 person sharing in a room)
